Historic Saxonville Cache

Saxonville Nature Trail

The Carol J. Getchell Nature Trail runs for about a mile along the Sudbury River in Saxonville. It can be entered at either end, down stairs near the Edwards Church, or down stairs behind the middle school. There is a good size parking lot right at the north end.

The south end of the trail starts near the Old Danforth Street Bridge, which is a rare example of a Pony Prat Truss structure. Restoration of the bridge is one of the projects of the Friends Of Saxonville.
